This page is a quick way to get in touch with the mod team. If you have a suggestion for a future event, would like to request NPC interaction, need clarification on something, or have questions about anything Peckenpaugh-related, you can post that here. All comments on this page are screened initially, but threads with valuable information may be made public. You can also contact us via email at peckishmods@gmail.com. We will try to address all questions and requests in a timely manner. If it has been seven days and you have not received a response, we encourage you to bump your comment with an edit or reply.
What sorts of things can I ask about here?
- Questions about the setting at large.
- Questions about NPCs.
- Questions about the application or the character roster.
- If you need clarification of the rules, IC or OOC.
- If you would like mod assistance, permission or input on an event you'd like to run.
- If you want your character to do something, but aren't sure if it's okay to do, or if you'd like to know potential IC consequences before you do something.
- Suggestions for pcal slots, events or anything of that nature.
- Requests for NPC interactions with staff, townies and any other mod controlled characters roaming the hills.
- Requests for a roll if you're out late at night or otherwise doing something that might get you in trouble. What does the roll net you? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- Once a month you may request an RNG roll to see if you find anything cool at Spellunking or are successful in acquiring spirits from Elflock Liquor.
- If you need to drop a character or leave the game. :(
- And, honestly, anything game related!

All is quiet in the Wildgulch caverns by the time the brave (reckless?) juniors head out to investigate. They approach the photopiano and find it silent and ostensibly devoid of any spooky molluscs. A cursory peek proves unsuccessful, though when Felicity gets an ear close to one of the organ pipes, the photopiano blarps one toot loud enough to rattle her skull and startle everyone else.
Once they're all calmed down again, Mary Grace recalls how to access the hidden pipes built into the caverns. They pry the panel off and peek inside. Most of the pipes are dark and empty, saved one which seems to have been stuffed with something. Reaching in, the juniors find a cowled mask: ash-colored hood connected to an ivory face with intricately carved eyes and a flat lower half, where lips or a mouth would be is a large key hole. Once removed, a voice echoes from deep within, "...know i-i-i-infinity..."
They're all abruptly startled again when Zadie and Desmond arrive with Dr. Ranui. Mary Grace finds that her arm is stuck in one of the pipes. I hear olive oil can fix that right up.
MEANWHILE on central campus...
It's a quick jog down to faculty housing and despite the late hour the lights are still on in Dr. Ranui's apartment. The street is well lit enough, but it's still dark and eerily empty. As soon as Zadie and Desmond approach Dr. Ranui's door something in the shrub beside it rustles — probably a squirrel, right?
Knock, knock. They wait in silence and hear nothing. The shrub rustles again. Knock, knock, knock.
Dr. Ranui's voice rings loud from inside, "Coming!"
He's undoing the lock when Zadie and Desmond notice a glint at the corner of their vision. Just as Dr. Ranui opens the door something large and shining zips out of the bushes, a twisted horror of a thing, not human, not animal, one of its spindly arms raised, a blade at the end.
"Allan!" Dr. Ranui scolds, and the bush monstrosity pivots abruptly. "Bloody hell, Allan. There you are. You're scaring the kids, get inside this instant."
Dr. Ranui's robot, Allan, drops its raised knife arm and wheels past the two juniors and inside the tiny apartment, seeming dejected. In its other "hand" it holds a bundle of elf hats — was it out hunting tonight?
"Zadie! Desmond! So sorry!" Dr. Ranui clasps his hands together in apologetic greeting. "Is everything alright?"
He takes a step outside, hurriedly trying to close the door behind him, but before he can shut it all the way, a familiar voice calls from inside, "Babe, who is it?"
"Just some of the kids. No worries. Be back in a jiff." He calls back, then shuts the door and turns to hear what Desmond and Zadie have to say.
Desmond and Zadie each receive 5 Points to Wildgulch for being proactive about getting help. While none of the more adventurous Wildgulch juniors are docked any points for exploring, Dr. Ranui does insist on getting a group photo with everyone while Mary Grace's arm is still stuck in the pipe. For posterity.
